Photos from the Big Day Out on Merrion Square

Out and about volunteering on the Big Day Out for St Patrick’s Festival, I somehow managed to grab these shots which I’m rather fond of, despite not having any fancy photo lens (yes, I’m jealous of the journos and of Phil O’Kane) … click each photo for bigger version.

It was a brilliant day and thank you to everyone who posed for a photo. Don’t forget that there are more great St Patrick’s Festival photos over on Pix.ie

Very cool shots. Love the little girl and her ice cream.

Who needs a fancy-pansy camera that has something along the lines of 152 kajillion-mega-pixels, that can make you coffee, connect to the Internet, and automatically order presents for your significant other on birthdays/anniversaries etc., when you can have something plain and simple!

    Great pics 🙂

You know I haven’t been to *any* of the St. Patrick’s Day things in years…

    I’m not sure why.

Great pics Darragh you were blessed with the weather. Good luck for the rest of the festival. S

The puppy in training one is good. See , those journos and photogs wouldn’t be looking for shots like that – they’re too busy farting around with lenses and “money” shots rather than giving a real flavour of the event – which your photos have just done.
