Green Day: 21st Century Breakdown
Thursday, May 14th, 2009
Really little more than a collection of songs that weren’t quite good enough for American Idiot and you’d be forgiven you were listening to My Chemical Romance at times. All a bit “meh” really.
21st Century Breakdown goes on official release tomorrow May 15th.

What?! Did you even listen to the album?! It’s epic…
That newest single.. close your eyes during the intro, you can hear Pretty Woman in it.
@Alan – I did- twice. I just felt it lacked energy. When it comes to music I believe in the “if it’s not broken don’t fix it” approach rather than trying to do something new in every album but this just didn’t get me all excited the way American Idiot. AI will be playing on my MP3 Player long after this one is a distant memory.
@RP – And what is she saying? “Oh honey you know what’s happened I got a runner in my pantyhose, I’m not wearing pantyhose. “
@Lottie Hmmmm fair enough… I think it really gets awesome after Know Your Enemy. AI was a pretty awesome album, I do feel this is a good follow up. It’s all personal opinion I guess?
Great review Lottie. Gets to the point quickly. I like.
I really don’t like Green Day. Very bland.
@Holemasster – I never really got the Green Day bug first time around but I loved American Idiot.
