Thursday, August 6th, 2009

I‘m in the middle of typing up my Top Five Movies of the 80′s and Rick Tweets:

rickoshea @darrenbyrne No… Not tonight of all nights… RT @BreakingNews: BULLETIN — REPORT: JOHN HUGHES HAS DIED.

TMZ.com have it up as breaking news. John Hughes, the 80′s era defining director, has died of a heart attack , aged 59. Hughes directed such classics as The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles and, on top of my list, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

John Hughes

RIP John Hughes (1950-2009)
