Win tickets to The Magic Cube for kids at Kilkenny Arts Festival

Kilkenny Arts Festival logoThe visual art strand of the Kilkenny Arts Festival was curated this year by Oliver Dowling, an independent contemporary visual art specialist with comprehensive experience representing Irish artists, galleries and public institutions, offering particular expertise in curating exhibitions, advising on policy and forming collections.

Oliver talks here to Ken McGuire about the artists and installations that will take part in various locations at the 2010 Kilkenny Arts Festival

The craft strand has been curated by Angela O’Kelly, a designer-maker who crosses boundaries of jewellery, textiles and sculpture and has exhibited extensively in international exhibitions and galleries. Angela has had exhibitions of her own in many museums in Ireland, UK and the US.

Finally – the children’s events – we have one pair of tickets to The Magic Cube on 7 August at 12pm in the Watergate Theatre. This show is suitable for ages 3 and up. Two clowns, One and The Other discover a strange world made only of cubes: big cubes and small cubes, red cubes and blue cubes. Two very different views of the world collide to create a wonderful clowning performance with horses, motorbikes, trains, castles, battles, love, laughs and even some tears.

To be in with a chance to win the pair of tickets, please just leave a comment here and we’ll pick a winner at random by Friday at 1pm ๐Ÿ™‚
