Album Review: Camille O’Sullivan’s Changeling

This is my first video review for Culch.ie, so I would appreciate any feedback you have, not just on the review but also on my irritating voice and awkward looking face. Camille O’Sullivan’s Changeling is a superb album, featuring a wonderful artist in her prime. Check out what else I have to say about her below.

Camille O'Sullivan ChangelingChangeling is available tomorrow in Dublin shops and will be on general release and on iTunes from 10th February. The excellent single Revelator is available now on iTunes, alongside Camille’s cover of Nick Cave’s The Ship Song.

If you want to see her in person, she will be doing an in store appearance in Celtic Note, Nassau St, Dublin, singing few tunes and signing CD’s from 1pm tomorrow. If you are nearby, pop in before the match. She will also be on a tour of Ireland and the UK from 18th February. Check out Camille’s website for more details.

Follow me on Twitter or subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

I also mention the parodied Kermit the Frog’s cover of Hurt in my video. Here’s that link.

I’ve known about her for years, but shamefully don’t know that much of her stuff (despite knowing and liking a lot of what she covers). Great review with geniune passion for the material, so nice one Darren. I will check out more of Miss O’Sullivan’s work! And ps, the Kermit cover is gas.

  2. Johnny says:

I seen her on the Late Late last night and was very impressed (yes…even though I’m in a different country the late late is still my Friday night). You should do more reviews on Culch like this, its cool. Plus I’m fed up of reading this is the future!!! #vblog_ftw

@Emlyn As always, thanks for the feedback. Check out Camille on YouTube; there’s plenty of her material available.

@Johnny I’m still living in this country and the Late Late has long since stopped being my Friday night. Thanks for the comment – I’m going to try do more pieces like this. We’ll see how I get on.
