Julie Feeney’s Love Is a Tricky Thing

Julie FeeneyAt Vicar Street for the first Choice Music Prize in 2006, there were some questionable looks when Julie Feeney walked away with the prize for her album 13 Songs. It was a solid album with some remarkable tracks and her voice was so beautiful and quirky that she definitely deserved praise, but the issue was that she beat both Bell XI’s Flock and Duke Special’s Adventures in Gramaphone. The question remained, could she stay the distance - could she follow up with the same or even better?

Her second album Pages is released on 29th of May and by all accounts she is set to prove that she is one of Ireland’s top songwriting and performing talents. If you can’t wait until the end of May, check out the very beautiful Love is a Tricky Thing:
